COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Response
Updated: Wednesday, March 2, 2022
Since the COVID transmission rate is no longer high for Dallas County, we are now making masks indoors optional as recommended by the CDC. We support the CDC recommendation for all immunocompromised individuals to continue to wear masks and encourage social distancing whenever possible. We will continue to broadcast the Sunday morning service on Facebook for anyone who is uncomfortable attending in person or who needs to stay home due to illness.
Guidelines for congregation:
- Temperature will be taken for each individual at the Rinehart Street entrance of the Sanctuary.
- Short screening questions will be posted and asked prior to entering the church.
- Masks will be provided if you feel the need to wear a mask and you don’t have one.
- Please observe physical distancing of six feet as recommended by CDC whenever possible.

With the improvements in the COVID numbers and the relaxed guidelines from the CDC for vaccinated people without medical conditions or a weakened immune system, we are making masks optional for Bowles. We will continue to supply hand sanitizer and masks and encourage everyone to do what makes you feel safe concerning wearing a mask, social distancing, and handshaking/hugging.

Since the COVID numbers are still significant, we will continue to follow the same safety procedures that we implemented in June, 2020 when we restarted our in-person services on Sundays at 11:00. We continue to broadcast the service on Facebook and have devotions in English and Spanish plus we have a weekly Bible Study via Zoom.
Guidelines for congregation:

Bowles Family,
In light of the continued national emergency due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus our President, State, and Local officials have asked all of us to limit our personal contacts and group events to help prevent further spreading the virus. Bowles has implemented a plan to do online services when we can't meet in person. We will review the current plan as orders from Dallas County are modified.
At this time, the only in-person service is our Sunday morning English service at 11 AM.
We also have Facebook devotions/scripture readings and a weekly Bible study:
- Joan Counts (English) - posted on Facebook by 6 PM on Mondays
- Maria Hilario (Spanish) - posted on Facebook Saturdays by 10 AM
- Bible study - Tuesdays at 11AM via Zoom. Call the church for a meeting link if you don't have it.
Guidelines for congregation:
- Temperature will be taken for each individual at the Rinehart Street entrance of the Sanctuary.
- Short screening questions will be posted and asked prior to entering the church.
- Please wear masks at all times while inside the building. Masks will be provided if you don’t have one.
- Please observe physical distancing of six feet as recommended by CDC.
- We strongly recommend no hugs, no handshakes, and no physical contact while inside the building.
Please consider alternative methods to continue with your tithes and offerings during this time in order that the church will be able to pay our monthly bills. One option is online giving via PayPal. There is a Donate button here on our website for that purpose. You can call the church office to work out the logistics for other options or if you have any issues with the PayPal donations.
Don't forget your personal Bible study and prayer time during this difficult period. The Bible gives us reassurance during unsettling times like this:
Isaiah 41:10
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
If you have needs of any type, please don't hesitate to contact us at the church office (972-262-6122) which is answered at all times.
